choosing a download option

If in doubt, select the installer for your platform under the "Click below to download" column.

Advanced users familiar with Java who have a Java 1.4 runtime environment already correctly installed on their system can reduce download time by selecting the appropriate "without Java VM" version for their platform. The Java Runtime Environment can be downloaded separately from Sun's website here. NotamPlot is tested against v1.4.2 of the Java Runtime Environment.

Download times may be very long over a dial-up internet connection. If this is a problem, an alternative is to buy a copy of the February 2004 edition of FLYER magazine which includes NotamPlot on a cover CD. If you are really can't do either of the above, contact the author via here: who may be able to supply NotamPlot on a CD (possibly for a charge greater than the FLYER mag!).

• Requires Mac OS X 10.0 or later
• The compressed installer should be recognized by Stuffit Expander and should automatically be expanded after downloading. If it is not expanded, you can expand it manually using StuffIt Expander 6.0 or later
• If you have any problems launching the installer once it has been expanded, make sure that the compressed installer was expanded using Stuffit Expander. If you continue to have problems, please contact technical support.

Linux Instructions:

• At the prompt type: sh ./install.bin
